Job Summary

The Credit Admin Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the credit department, assisting in the evaluation and processing of credit applications, managing customer accounts, and helping ensure timely collections of payments. The role involves handling both routine tasks and assisting with more complex credit-related matters, requiring excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of credit policies and procedures.

Job Description



  • Credit Application Processing:



    • Assist in processing credit applications, verifying the information provided by customers, and conducting credit checks.

    • Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Prepare and maintain credit files, ensuring proper documentation and records are kept.




  • Customer Account Management:



    • Maintain and update customer credit records, including credit limits, payment histories, and outstanding balances.

    • Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts, assisting in the collection of outstanding payments.

    • Assist in the resolution of customer queries or disputes related to credit and payment issues.




  • Documentation and Reporting:



    • Prepare reports on credit and collection activities, including outstanding balances, aging reports, and account status updates.

    • Ensure all records are accurate, well-organized, and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.




  • Communication:



    • Communicate with customers regarding credit applications, account statuses, and payment reminders in a polite and professional manner.

    • Work closely with other departments, such as finance and sales, to ensure smooth credit processes and assist with account-related matters.




  • Credit Risk Management:



    • Assist in identifying high-risk accounts and making recommendations to management regarding credit limits or necessary actions.

    • Ensure compliance with credit policies, guidelines, and regulations to minimize financial risk to the company.




  • Administrative Support:



    • Provide administrative assistance to the credit department, including scheduling meetings, filing, and organizing documents.

    • Assist in general office duties, such as managing correspondence and preparing presentations or reports for management.




  • Ad-hoc Tasks:



    • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the credit manager or supervisor to support the overall operations of the department.
