Job Summary

The Messenger is responsible for delivering important messages, documents, and packages to various locations, both within and outside of the organization. They ensure that all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner, maintaining confidentiality and security. This role requires good organizational and time-management skills, as well as the ability to handle various tasks efficiently.

Job Description



  • Delivery and Pickup:



    • Deliver documents, messages, parcels, and packages to the specified recipients in a timely manner.

    • Pickup items from external locations or offices and deliver them back to the organization or intended recipient.

    • Ensure that all deliveries are accurate and reach the correct destination.




  • Record Keeping and Documentation:



    • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including dates, recipients, and items delivered.

    • Complete forms and provide proof of delivery, including obtaining signatures when necessary.

    • Handle confidential documents with care, ensuring they are securely delivered without unauthorized access.




  • Office Support:



    • Assist with office errands, such as collecting and distributing mail, filing documents, or organizing materials.

    • Help with internal document distribution within the office or company premises.




  • Communication:



    • Serve as a communication point between different departments or external clients, ensuring that important information is conveyed accurately and promptly.

    • Notify relevant parties in case of delays or issues related to deliveries.




  • General Maintenance of Delivery Items:



    • Ensure that all items, packages, or documents are securely handled during transit and protected from damage.

    • Safely transport materials between locations using appropriate methods (e.g., walking, driving, or by bicycle if necessary).




  • Miscellaneous Tasks:



    • Assist with light administrative tasks or other duties as assigned, including organizing office materials or running errands related to work.

    • Respond to inquiries from staff or clients regarding deliveries and message statuses.




Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in a delivery, messenger, or courier role is preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliveries.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive documents with discretion.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism.

  • Basic knowledge of the area or route to ensure efficient delivery and navigation.

  • Ability to use mobile devices or apps for tracking deliveries and communicating with team members.
