A Utility Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations and maintenance of facilities, equipment, or infrastructure. Their duties may include handling general maintenance, cleaning, and assisting with repairs, as well as ensuring that the work environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained. The Utility Worker plays a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the needs of different departments or service areas, helping to ensure smooth facility operations and safety compliance.

1. Ensure that only conforming cylinders are filled.

2. Ensures that safe and proper cylinder filling procedures are adhered to.

3. Inspects/checks/monitors performance of cylinder filling equipment.

4. Ensures that weights filled into cylinders are within the acceptable limits.

5. Segregates filled non-conforming cylinders and ensures that they are not loaded into packed trucks.

6. Ensures that only conforming cylinders are filled and loaded into packed trucks.

7. Checks filled cylinders for leaks.

8. Ensures that filled conforming cylinders are sealed properly before releasing.

9. Maintains housekeeping at the cylinder filling plant and adjacent areas.

10. Decants overfilled and leaking cylinders.

11. Ensures that non-conforming filled/empty cylinders are marked and segregated.

12. Controls issuance of cylinder seals at the cylinder filling plant.

13. Helps in the over-all housekeeping of the Depot premises, including grass cutting and disposal activities.

14. To attend monthly HSSE Committee meetings, monthly HSSE meetings, weekly and daily toolbox meetings.

15. To participate in all monthly emergency drills.

16. To actively participate in the company S.T.O.P. activities and submit reports on such.

17. To do other tasks as may be assigned by the OS, the SO, or the POE.

18. To identify permanent, temporary, and emergency changes (MOC’s).
